What to ask your clinician
Five short questions to bring up at your next visit, before you start.
Updated June 15, 2026
Nyra only works when a clinician invited you and is reading what you write. That makes your clinician, not us, the right person to answer most questions about your care. Here are five worth asking at your next visit, before you start.
1. What will you see, and when?
Your clinician opens one panel before your visit. It shows the shape of your last two weeks: patterns, not a transcript. Ask which patterns matter for your care, so you know what is worth writing down. Your clinician does not get a live feed of your raw words.
2. How does this fit my treatment?
Nyra is decision support, not treatment. It does not replace your sessions, your medication, or any plan you already have. Ask how your clinician plans to use what Nyra surfaces, so the daily two minutes connects to the work you are already doing together.
3. Should I turn on phone-sensor sharing?
If you choose, Nyra can read three daily summaries from Apple HealthKit or Health Connect: sleep, steps, and heart-rate variability. The default is none. Ask your clinician whether any of these would help them read your patterns, and remember you can turn each one off in two taps. See Health signals.
4. Which region holds my record?
Each clinic chooses its hosting region during onboarding. If where your data lives matters to you, ask your clinic which region holds your record.
5. What happens if I change clinicians?
Your reflections stay with the clinic, not the individual clinician. If you transfer inside the same clinic, your record follows. If you leave the clinic, you can export everything as JSON and bring it with you. See Your data.
